CHAPTER THIRTEEN 

THE JESUS 
FILLED DAY

DECISION

“This is the day the Lord has made; we 
will rejoice and be glad in it.” 
—PSALM 118:24 

The Bible is very clear that the name of Jesus is above every name (Philippians 2:9). The name of Jesus is above sickness, poverty, lack, defeat, rejection, depression, low self-esteem, anger, loneliness, bitterness, addictions, self-centeredness, unforgiveness, resentment, hate, envy, pride, impatience, unfaithfulness, strife, grief, hopelessness, lack of faith, and everything else that keeps you bound. When you purpose in your heart to let Him fill your day, life is not so challenging.

When you let the name that is above every name, Jesus, fill your mind and emotions on a continual basis, you can have joy unspeakable and be full of glory (1 Peter 1:8). When you say, I am having a Jesus Filled Day, you are saying that Jesus is above everything else in your life. 

God loves you too much to leave you the way you are. What is it in your life that is keeping you from pursuing the Lord with all your heart? What person, activity, or material possession is in your way? You need to ask the Holy Spirit to examine your heart and help you overcome it. David asked that of the Lord in Psalm 139. He petitioned God, saying “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties” (v. 23). Jesus loves you and accepts you just the way you are. You can’t earn His love. 

He is waiting for you to come to Him. When you come to Jesus, He begins to change your life. Every day that you fill with Jesus is a day where you are transformed into His image. Because Jesus loves you enough to accept you the way that you are, He wants to change you to become more like Him. The apostle Paul understood that when he told the Romans, “. . .
